This website and the wider tourism project has been achieved by Petersfield Tomorrow with support from East Hampshire District Council, Petersfield Town Council, The South Downs Collabor8 Project and Hidden Britain South East.


Petersfield Tomorrow

Petersfield Tomorrow is about local people, shaping the future of the town, initiating improvements in transport, employment, the local environment and the development of new community schemes and facilities.

The Petersfield Town Partnership (the formal name of Petersfield Tomorrow) was launched at a public meeiing at the Community Centre on Monday 30th October 2006 to achieve external funding for the projects identified as a result of the public consultation.

About the Project

This website has formed part of wider project to improve the visitor experience in Petersfield and to position the town more effectively in the visitor market in light of recent designation of the South Downs as a National Park.

The project has been planned and delivered by local volunteers and businesses all working for the good of Petersfield as a whole.

Other outputs of the project include; a new visitor brand and logo for the town, a new visitor publication, new map boards at key access points and tear-off map pads.


Project Funders & Partners



South Downs Collabor8 Project

An Interegg IVB funded project to make tourism and recreation more sustainable within the South Downs, encouraging visitors to help protect this special area, whilst still having a great time. The Collabor8 Project have supported and continue to support the project group with advice and have also part funded the project.



Petersfield Town Council

Petersfield Town Council have provided continual support to the project as well as helping to ensure the future security of the project outputs. 



Hidden Britain South East

Funded through the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) and managed by the South East Rural Community Councils (SERCC) and Tourism South East, HBSE supports the development of community-led tourism in villages and market towns across the region. HBSE has provided tourism expertise and guidance to the project.
