Art Sale: Rural Refugee Network and the John Badley Foundation Emergency Refugee Fund

Record numbers of professional and semi-professional artists will be exhibiting at the 2024 Art Sale in support of Hampshire’s Rural Refugee Network and the John Badley Foundation (JBF) Emergency Refugee Fund.

The sale, which takes place on Monday 4 March 2024 from 6-9pm at Bedales School will include 200 works from over 50 artists priced from £20 to £10,000.

Exhibitors will include Emma Hartley (see her ‘The Pink House’ below), Nick McMillen, Olive Wootton, Mark Wickham, Scott Pohlschmidt, Simon Hitchens, Bromley & Bouverie, Michael Minas, Deborah Mitchelson, Matthew Rice and Ukrainian artist Olga Morozova.

The RRN helps refugees with their accommodation needs, provides language support, employment training and provides grants for computers, clothing, driving lessons, business start-ups and other resources. More information on its work can be found at www.ruralrefugeenetwork.org

The JBF Emergency Refugee Fund provides bursaries for refugee children to study at Bedales School and is aiming to increase the support it is able to offer as a result of this event. In recent years, the school has supported children who have sought refuge in the UK from Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
