Join Rural Strides to Walk The Line – a 7.5 mile walk.
Many of you will possibly have walked the stretch of the former Meon Valley Railway Line from West Meon down to Wickham. That section is a well-used cycle and leisure path. In contrast, going north between West Meon and Alton, only small sections are accessible. This walk will explore this less well-known part of the line around the villages of East Tisted and Colemore. While none of the hills on this walk are overly challenging, there are a lot of them. Expect a bit of a roller-coaster walk.
Being February there is a chance snowdrops will be starting to poke their nose through the cold ground. Last year they put on a beautiful display in and around Colemore.
We will plan on having an early lunch/large coffee break on this walk
Well-behaved dogs welcome. Dogs must be on a lead through fields with livestock and on roads
