Easter Window Competition

Celebrating Creativity: Winners of the Town Mayor’s Easter Window Competition

This Easter, our town centre was brought to life with colour, creativity and community spirit as local businesses and organisations took part in the Town Mayor’s Easter Window Competition. Shop windows across the town were transformed with cheerful spring scenes, Easter characters and imaginative displays that delighted residents and visitors alike.

The competition, organised by the Town Mayor, invited businesses to decorate their windows with an Easter theme, helping to brighten the high street and encourage people to explore the town centre during the festive season. From charming hand-crafted decorations to vibrant floral displays and playful Easter scenes.

After careful judging, the Mayor is delighted to announce the official winners of the competition:

🏆 Mayor’s Choice – First Place
Sew Creative

🥈 Second Place
Great British Cake Shop

🥉 Third Place
Picketts & Purses

Each winning window stood out for its creativity, attention to detail and the joyful Easter atmosphere it created for everyone passing by.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. Residents and visitors have also been invited to take part by voting for their favourite display in the Public Choice Award. This gives the community the chance to recognise the window that captured their hearts and made them smile the most.

The winner of the Public Choice Award is Juniper!

The Town Mayor would like to thank every business and organisation that took part in this year’s competition. Your enthusiasm and creativity help make our town centre such a vibrant and welcoming place, especially during seasonal celebrations like Easter.

A special thank you also goes to everyone who visited the town centre, admired the displays and supported our local businesses.

Congratulations once again to all of this year’s winners, and we hope everyone enjoyed discovering the wonderful Easter windows throughout the town.
